NIGHT WITH THE REAPER
It was a dark night when suddenly the phone rang.
Ashley wasn’t listening because she was wearing headphones while she was doing her
homework. She had to finish them before going with her friends to a party. When
she finished, she went to the kitchen. She was alone at home.
There, she heard the answering machine which seemed to
come from the hall. Ashley didn’t recognize the voice and she was surprised.
The number was private. Suddenly she saw a shadow in the window but she ignored
him. “Halloween was a very special day to be distracted by such nonsense!” She went
to her bedroom and she began to get ready. When she finished, she grabbed her keys
and left.
She was walking along the street, sending a text message
to her friend Chloe, when someone put a plastic bag on her head. Ashley began
to scream and she felt that she was introduced in a car. Once seated, she found
her friends. It was a joke. Everyone started laughing.
Finally, they went to a nightclub. Once inside, after two
hours, which spent very fast, Ashley had to leave. She decided that nobody would
come with her.
When she arrived at home, her parents hadn’t arrived yet.
So she watched TV. She was with her mobile phone and the TV at full volume,
when somebody put another plastic bag on her head. She began to laugh and
remembered their friends. However, she knew that it wasn’t a joke. She got up
with the intention of picking up the phone but the stranger pushed her and she fell
on the carpet. She screamed but no one listened due to the sound of the TV. And
it came something unexpected, the guy stabbed her.
Thanks God her neighbour Kevin went to her aid but it was
too late. Ashley was killed by a masked man in the guise of the reaper. When the
police arrived, all was discovered. The murderer was her “best friend” Charles
and he said that all was for love.
Years later, he committed suicide in the prison,
coinciding with the date of Halloween and the name of Ashley on his arm with a
caricature of the reaper.
